Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025
Location: AFCY Premises

Event Description:

Effective communication across cultures is an increasingly valuable skill in our globalized world. The Personal Development Seminar on Enhancing Intercultural Communication Skills offers practical tools and insights to help participants navigate cultural differences with confidence and respect.

Beginning at 10:00 AM, the seminar opens with an introduction to key concepts in intercultural communication, including cultural dimensions, communication styles, and common barriers. Participants will explore how culture shapes behaviors, values, and perceptions, and why misunderstandings often occur.

Between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM, interactive workshops focus on developing empathy and active listening skills. Using role-playing exercises and real-world case studies, attendees practice recognizing cultural cues and adapting their communication to different cultural contexts.

After a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, the afternoon sessions delve into conflict resolution and negotiation techniques tailored to multicultural environments. The facilitator will guide participants through strategies to manage cultural tensions constructively and build consensus.

From 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, attendees work in groups on intercultural team-building exercises designed to promote cooperation and mutual understanding. This hands-on experience encourages participants to apply concepts learned earlier in a supportive setting.

The seminar concludes with a Q&A session and a reflection circle, where participants share insights and discuss how they will apply their new skills in personal and professional settings.

Throughout the day, reference materials and follow-up resources will be provided to help participants continue their development beyond the seminar.

This event is open to all individuals interested in improving their intercultural communication abilities, whether for work, study, or community engagement.
